Moving or transport to the Balearic or Canary Islands
Are you moving to Mallorca, Ibiza, Menorca, or Formentera (the Balearic Islands)? Or to Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, La Palma, La Gomera, or El Hierro (the Canary Islands)? These destinations can’t be fully reached by road, but that doesn’t mean your belongings necessarily have to go in a shipping container.
Whenever possible, we prefer to transport your belongings or goods with our own truck, which makes the crossing by ferry. That way, everything stays in the same vehicle, from your old front door to your new one, without being transferred along the way. If shipping by sea container is the better option in your case, for example because of the volume or timing, we can take care of that for you too.
For each request, we look at which method best fits your move, destination, and wishes. You don’t have to worry about anything: we’ll advise you in advance on the best solution.
Carefully packed, safely transported
When moving overseas, good preparation is especially important. You pack your belongings yourself, so you know exactly what is where. Do you need moving boxes? You can easily order them from us.
Packing at your own pace? We'll place a container at your home
Would you like to take your time packing your belongings? If so, we can place a shipping container (for example, 40 ft) in your garden or on your driveway. This way, you can load it at your own pace, without any time pressure on moving day itself. Once the container is full, we pick it up: a crane loads the container onto the truck, and the transport to your new destination begins.
One point of contact, even after arrival
Upon arrival at the port of your destination, we make sure your goods are transported by truck all the way to your doorstep. Throughout the whole process, you have a single point of contact, even after arriving on the island, so you always know what’s going on.
Customs and transport fully taken care of
We take care of all the customs formalities involved in moving overseas. Your contact person will guide you through the process and keep you updated on the progress.
Insured as desired
Throughout the entire process, your move is insured. By default, international road transport falls under CMR liability, an international scheme where compensation is based on the weight of your shipment, not the actual value of your belongings.
